What is VGMQ?

VGMQ is a free video game music quiz: you listen to a clip from a game soundtrack and guess which game it comes from. Play the daily challenge on your own or take on other players in multiplayer lobbies, straight from your browser.

What is the VGMQ daily quiz?

Every day VGMQ picks one video game soundtrack and serves the same clip to every player. You listen, guess which game it comes from, and your time goes on the daily leaderboard. A new track drops the next day.

How do multiplayer lobbies work?

Join a public lobby to play with everyone, or create your own and set a password to keep it between friends. You choose the number of songs, the answer time and the difficulty before starting.

Which games and songs can come up?

Over 100,000 songs from more than 11,000 games. In a lobby the tracks are drawn from the game lists of the players in the room, so you mostly hear music from games you have actually played.

Is VGMQ free?

Yes. VGMQ is free, has no ads and needs no download — create an account and play in your browser. Donations are optional and only help keep the servers running.
